Dad Sews

I just had to share Christian Lee's video at "Dad Sews" on what he's learned about fabric stores as a dad who sews. He's sharing some universal truths and his own unique perspective.

He made me laugh, and I hope you will too. I wonder if I can get him to tackle free motion quilting?

  1. Loved the video!
I asked my local fabric store why they don't use a rotery cutter and they said it was a health and safety issue. Apparently people cut them selves more with them and kids try to grap them. Who knew?

  5. Sure they have notions, a whole wall of them, but not the notion that you just read about and would love to try out.

  6. Oh yeah, and how about more of that fabric that is 1/2 yard short of what you want. They will order it but who knows when it will come in or if it will come in...bummer.

  9. And don't forget if you go to Joann's (the only fabric store close to me)...buy extra fabric because the fabric will be short at least 1" and not straight!
