Video: Free Motion Feathered Flower Part 2

I re-shot the feathered flower design I had done a few weeks ago. This time I have the open toe on my Janome Convertible free motion foot set instead of my ruler toe, so the visibility is better.

I'm going to link this up at the link parties for Leah Day's Free Motion Project and Nina Maries Off the Wall Friday.

    1. Thanks LeeAnna! Some of that calm demeanor is the difficulty of speaking and stitching at the same time! LOL

  3. Hi, Amy. Enjoyed your video. As I like to scribble, I think your FMQ is more than perfect. "Sloppy" is sometimes much more interesting. You made me realize that I need a new pedal for my machine--it works very unevenly. You have such excellent control. Then again, maybe my lack of control is a good thing for the scribbling!

    1. A responsive foot pedal is a wonderful thing! Sometimes a sewing machine repairman can adjust or repair a pedal. Mine sometimes gets “stuck" when I’ve been going at the same speed for a while.

  6. Hello Amy,

Excellent video, and such a pretty design! I have put a link to it in my blog post today - hope you don't mind. And I deleted my last comment because I thought I had put it under the wrong post in your blog, whereas it was in fact the right one... oh dear.

    Love from soggy England,
