Video: Quilting with Ruler on Sewing Machine

Here's my first video of me quilting! And it's showing me quilting with a long arm ruler on my Rainy Days and Mondays quilt.

I apologize for the sound of my breathing as I quilted. As you can imagine I was quite nervous and the camera mic is pretty sensitive.

I hope to start doing a few more of these videos. I hope you have found them useful or at least entertaining.

  1. I love your purse you had at the meeting. Your quilting is simply amazing! I'm hoping if I stand close enough to you, it will rub off on me a little.

    1. You and I need a sew-in day together! But no rubbing allowed!

  3. Amy, that is a nice video and great of you to share. I did free motion on my DSM before I got the Tin Lizzie. I wasn't very good. I understand you must be good to do the things you are doing. Keep up the good work. Denby

  4. 8-))) breathing is just fine - much better than idle chit-chat, and I presume you were concentrating hard! Never thought about doing this, but I do a lot of FMQ on a Janome MC6500.

    1. Thanks! It's really hard to simultaneously talk and quilt on video! Actually, if I had known how much I'd love doing ruler work, I would have gotten the 6500 or 6300 since that accufeed foot thing gets in the way of my rulers. Now I'll just save up until I can move up to the 8200!
