I'm glad you didn't listen to the guy at Lowe's. We have painted over old wallpaper and it was just fine. Bubbled up a little while the paint was wet, which made me nervous, but then it dried nice and flat and smooth and no one is the wiser. When you have inherited old wallpaper that someone else put up, you have no way of knowing whether they did it the "right" way using primer and if not, you can have chunks of drywall coming off when you try to remove paper that wants to stay there until the NEXT millennium! Good luck with your shop, and GOOD FOR YOU!Rebecca Gracehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14801489818836195754noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3445986501162780215.post-78365346321708663882016-07-18T16:17:26.575-04:002016-07-18T16:17:26.575-04:00Hi Amy. I would love to visit your shop but I don't think there will be enough time this trip. Maybe next year. I have taken one of your Craftsy classes and am enjoying working with rulers. Thanks for the very helpful class. I just finished a quilt using this machine and I love how it quilts. It's really nice that you were able to take over a business that was already there. Your dedication in what you do is what will make it a great business. It's also nice that your husband is able to work there too. I will pray that your business grows steadily and that you are at peace with what you are doing. Just don't work too hard. Enjoy life. Good luck. I'm so glad also that your husband has found a place in your new business. Teamwork! I'm sure everyone will be very happy that they can get their machines fixed and learn new things at your shop. Will you be holding classes there? How I would love to book a vacation to come down and take a couple of classes. Thank you for taking us all along on this journey with you. I am wishing you all the success in the world. I'm so glad you're taking some time for yourself also. I know it's been difficult to find that time but I hope now you will be able to have time to yourself just for balance. Everything is looking great including yourself. Enjoy every minute of this journey. So I was able to watch the video (happy dance). 2nd I love your shop and personally I love the old wallpaper (maybe because I'm old) but it really speaks to me. I'm so happy to watch you start on your journey from scratch of a new shop as well as a repair shop that is indeed needed everywhere (there is only 1 repair place here in Corpus Christi) I have a Janome 6600 that I'm in love with and tickled that this is the brand you have chosen to carry. The 1 repair shop here that I spoke of is also a Janome dealer thankfully, but when I am there getting repairs on all other makes (my Janome hasn't needed any) I love to look at Janome accessories but also fabrics so I think it would be beneficial to carry some fabrics as well as a lot of batting from packages to yardage off rolls. But it is your new adventure not mine, I can only tell you what I look at while waiting for my turn to come up. I wish you nothing but the best and look forward to every post you do.<br />Jeri Oldtisme@aol.comJerihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06190034604841294826noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3445986501162780215.post-39200926283124479602016-07-18T01:44:53.988-04:002016-07-18T01:44:53.988-04:00Hi Amy, just wanted to let you know a couple of th...Hi Amy, just wanted to let you know a couple of things, 1st off in my email it immediately said I couldn't access your video so I just jumped to the bottom and clicked on your site and it brought me to the same page but I guess a different area(???)
